Commercial contracts expert joins Emms Gilmore Liberson
Matt specialises in advising clients on commercial contracts and IT and software matters, including cyber-security.
He is currently heavily involved in advising on the changing law as regards Data Protection including the highly relevant General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which are due to come into force in the next parliamentary session.
Matt, who qualified as a solicitor six years ago, has joined us from BPE Solicitors in Cheltenham. He studied at Birmingham University where he gained his law degree. He has specialised in commercial law throughout his career, drafting, negotiating and advising clients primarily respect of their supplier and customer relationships.
Amongst a variety of commercial contract works he has recently advised a start-up mobile-app company that is in the process of launching a new social media app, and a large Plc client entering into a joint venture agreement with a software company.

As well as advising on IT and software –related matters (such as Software as a Service (Saas) agreements, software development and app development agreements), Matt also advises on a wider range of commercial matters including trading terms and conditions of sale and purchase, manufacturing agreements, distribution and agency agreements and franchise agreements. In addition, Matt will continue to be heavily involved in the cyber-security sector.
