EGL helps Midlands-based serviced office provider secure London premises
Our Commercial Property team has recently helped a West Midlands headquartered serviced offices provider to secure more than 16,000 sq ft of space in a prominent London location.
UBCUK Ltd, which operates eight business centres in the UK, has agreed to take 10-years lease for two floors of The Mille, a newly refurbished landmark office building on Great West Road, Brentford.
Beth Margetson, Director in our Commercial Property team, advised the company on the renewal of its current management agreements whilst the refurbishment of its floors by landlord McKay Securities plc is completed ahead of the grant of its new leases for the 16,624 sq ft of space.
UBCUK has managed the serviced office space at The Mille, a 98,000 sq ft multi-let office building next to the M4, for more than five years for McKay Securities plc. The space will now become part of the UBCUK-branded portfolio.
Beth said: “UBCUK currently operates serviced office accommodation at the property under two management agreements, but having comprehensively tested its model in this location is now investing in it by entering into longer-term leases.

The leases will be granted once the landlord has completed comprehensive refurbishments works to the two floors.”
