Angela joined us in July 2018 as an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Law team working with the Corporate Commercial team and assisting Stephen Gilmore and Greg Emms.
Angela undertook her training contract at Needham and James in Birmingham, qualifying in 1990 into its company and commercial department. There she worked on a variety of transactions including company incorporations and shareholders’ agreements and also a wide variety of commercial contracts, including terms and conditions franchising and distribution agreements.
After several years working in private practice, Angela joined Birmingham City University (BCU) and taught across both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She taught on the post-graduate Legal Practice Course (LPC): primarily Business Law and Practice and Commercial and Intellectual Property Law and Practice, amongst other subjects. Angela was also the Programme Director of the LPC at BCU, managing the Course and ensuring the quality of its provision in compliance with SRA requirements.
Angela is looking forward to working full time with clients and the demands of private practice again.
When not assisting clients, Angela can be found cycling (including charitable fundraising), and she also enjoys keep fit, reading and watching movies
