Jonathan Wright is an experienced commercial property practitioner, with a particular focus on property development, renewable energy and privately owned corporate occupiers.
Trained at Eversheds 20 years ago, Jonathan joined international firm Reed Smith in 2003, working across both the Midlands and London offices, building up a client base in both locations. Following the demerger of Hill Hofstetter from Reed Smith at the end of 2008, he became a partner in the newly created business and helped build and double the size of the team. Upon merger with Fieldfisher in 2016, Jonathan became a partner in the enlarged firm before deciding to leave the business he’d been with for over 15 years to join Emms Gilmore Liberson.
Jonathan acts for a broad client base including property developers, franchisees, retailers, professional investors as well as renewable energy & infrastructure funds.
Jonathan prides himself on a proactive and responsive approach where he works tirelessly to achieve results for clients. A good number of his clients are entrepreneurs who have worked with him for over 15 years. Jonathan is proud to have been able to assist in their growth.
Legal 500 recently rated him for his ‘calm and persistence’ in the face of challenging transactions” and Chambers (where he has been ranked since 2015) described him as “Incredibly pragmatic” with one client applauding him as “the guy who can explain things to me on my level, managing to make it simple and present a realistic strategy that is attractive to both parties”.
