Mark runs the property team and personally focusses mainly on property development projects. He has acted for developers across the Midlands region and nationally for over 25 years and is still acting for some clients for whom he first worked when he joined Wragge & Co (now Gowling WLG) in 1987.
Graduating from Cambridge in 1979, Mark trained in London and then spent 4 years post-qualification with Herbert Smith (now Herbert Smith Freehills) before leaving London for Wragge in Birmingham, where he became a partner in 1990 and was head of their real estate group for some 9 years. On turning 50, he decided to leave the large firm arena and set up a small property practice in Birmingham with his immediate team from Wragge in 2009, and then moved with his team and clients to Emms Gilmore Liberson in 2013.
Still very much hands on, Mark works for both developers and landowners on any transactions involving mainly commercial development/investment deals and his team also act for landlords, tenants and corporates with property interests.
