Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Christmas is traditionally a time for giving and thinking of others, and like many practices we had a Christmas Jumper day on Friday 14th December. We were raising funds for Save the Children, a well deserving charity and one which is close to the hearts of many of our staff.
But at EGL it’s not just at Christmas that we think of others. Regular readers of our blogs will see that throughout 2018 we have been involved in many events. These were wide and varied, from Tona Zefi doing white collar boxing (she won – of course!), Peter Adkins leaping out of an airplane on a tandem skydive (he landed in one piece – just!) through to taking part in 5k runs over an inflatable obstacle course with a team of 6. We also helped organise and participated in the annual Birmingham Santa Crawl which raised over £1,200 for local charity St Basils and supported other worthwhile events.
Previous years have seen Directors abseiling off tall buildings – there was an internal draw to be allowed to be allowed to tie the knots!
During 2018 we are proud to have been involved in raising in excess of £3,200 for charitable causes and we’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all of those clients, contacts and colleagues who have helped us out during the year.
2019? Well who knows? Peter Adkins is booked on to the Birmingham Velo and will be cycling 100 miles, and there is a rumour of a London to Paris cycle ride for Cure Leukaemia . There will doubtless be more runs and another Santa Crawl. If you’re interested in joining us on any of these events and raising funds please let us know.
Thank you, and we send Seasons Greetings to all our clients and contacts and wish you a prosperous 2019.
